NHS
I am a senior orthopaedic Fellow, currently based in the UK. I belong to India , born and brought up in New Delhi - one of the busiest cities in the world. I trained in the countries busiest Trauma centres before moving to the UK to pursue higher education. I completed MCh, MRCS and FRCS within 4 years as one of the youngest fellows - and pursuing post CCT level fellowships. I enjoy exercise, long walks and spending time with my family.
The need for inclusivity and importance of diversity as been quite evident to me during my time in the NHS. It is important to promote and welcome individuals of different backgrounds to enable them to contribute their best towards patient care
It is hard to point at one single achievement - but the ability to contribute to betterment of lives of other individuals through my work - is something that i am proud of. Academically I was quite proud to pass my FRCS exams as an International graduate on my first attempts with a "non trainee" pass rate of 15 percent.
